GITEX Africa Preview: Queclink Targets Growth With New Vehicle and Asset Telematics Hardware

Queclink Wireless Solutions, a global provider of IoT devices and hardware, will be introducing its latest vehicle and asset tracking innovation at GITEX Africa (Booth No.13A-9), which takes place at the Marrakech Exhibition & Convention Centre in Morocco during April. The company plans to showcase a number of new low-cost and premium telematics devices as it looks to engage with established and start-up tech businesses in Africa and the Middle East.

“Africa is the youngest large-scale digital economy globally, with a rapidly expanding and evolving tech infrastructure, so our aim is to share our extensive IoT expertise and work with local businesses to drive growth within the region,” explains Taha Bouras, Business Development Manager at Queclink Wireless Solutions. “With this in mind, we are expanding our range of hardware solutions that are currently available to provide our partners with added choice, functionality and affordability.”

Queclink will be bringing a new range of entry-level vehicle tracking devices to the event, which was recently launched to meet the growing demand for low-cost, high-volume commercial fleet telematics deployments. The GV30 Series combines compact size and powerful features, making it an ideal solution for a wide range of monitoring applications including van and truck tracking, stolen vehicle recovery (SVR) and logistics management.

The trackers will be demonstrated alongside various accessories that work in tandem with the devices including temperature and humidity sensors, tyre pressure sensors, driver ID key fobs and BLE beacons. Most notably, Queclink will preview an automatic passenger counter that has been developed for use in school and public buses.

Meanwhile, Queclink will use GITEX Africa to provide the first look at its latest ruggedised trackers with backup battery. Well-suited for trailer and equipment rental sectors, the high specification GV651CAU and GV650MG trackers feature IP67/69K protection, external GNSS antenna, and up to four months of operation even without external power. Additionally, the GV650MG comes with OpenCAN architecture for increased tracking functionality.
